Come join us at AYFN's main office in Anchorage on Wednesday, February 24th from 6-8 pm to learn about benefits planning with Dave Berbue of Disability Law Center. Dave will talk about applying for Social Security benefits for transitional age youth (14-20). Following his presentation, Kristen Nilsson, AYFN's insurance coordinator, will provide training on health insurance including how to apply for Medicaid, Denali KidCare, TEFRA Medicaid, and Medicaid waivers. This workshop is free.

Description:
The purpose of FAScinating Families Camp is to bring families raising kids with FASD together to share their experiences; learn new parenting tools, ideas, and resources; provide times of respite; offer experiences that will strengthen the family; and to provide hope and encouragement for the future. Families will be housed in cabins together at LaVerne Griffin Youth Rec Center. All meals will be cooked for you and served in the dining hall (and you won’t even have to do dishes!) Each day will offer a schedule of activities for you to select from, as well as options for the kids.
