Northern Lights Blvd. - Anchorage) WHEN: Thursday, July 29th, 2010 6:00pm to 8:00pm Presented by: Alexandra Edwards, Project Coordinator Arctic FASD Regional Training Center This interactive and discussion-focused presentation will provide a brief overview of some of the most common social networking sites, programs, and devices used today. The benefits and risks of social networking in general and for children and young adults in particular, will be discussed as well as guidelines and safety tips. The presentation will be guided by the interests and questions of the participants. If desired, the presenter will also walk through two of the most popular networking sites, Facebook and Twitter, to discuss the benefits and risks as well as the privacy and safety features of each. Your kids can come and hang out with other kids and do cool stuff! Our staff involves your kids in fun activities while you recharge your parenting batteries. All ages are welcome!
