Revolution Health is joining with its nonprofit partners to help you to feel well and do "good" at the same time. By participating in our Health Fair you will get the latest in mental health information and support. For each booth that you visit Revolution Health will donate $.25 to the organization.

The Anchorage Youth Development Coalition

The Anchorage Youth Development Coalition provides leadership and coordinates resources and efforts to ensure that all Anchorage youth thrive. AYDC works to increase protective factors and reduce substance abuse and other risk factors through the Developmental Assets Framework, and other research based prevention strategies.

Advocates for Youth is the only organization that works both in the United States and in developing countries with a sole focus on adolescent reproductive and sexual health.

Educational Opportunity Center

In Anchorage or Mat-Su, the organization provides information and assistance for adults (ages 18 and older) to enroll in postsecondary education or traning programs: computer classes, tutorial information, information about entrance requirements and process, application assistance to schools or training beyond high school, assistance in finding scholarships and loans, career exploration and job market information. For high school students thee are two additional programs: Educational Talent Search and Upward Bound to assist students in preparing for college.

Nine Star-Employment and Educational Services

Nine Star programs focus on literacy, job readiness and professional development. These programs equip clients with the skills necessary to find a job, keep a job and advance on the job.

Career Exploration with e-mentors

A web site to connect youth with adults who have interesting careers and want to answer your questions about what they do, how they prepared for such a career and how they dealt with their own disabilities.  Some of their disabilities are visible (like using a wheelchair) and some are not visible (like depression or a learning disability). On this site, you can read the information or post questions.   After a short training, you can e-mail or contact the mentor directly.

Special Education Parent Resource Center - Anchorage

STeP is a part of the Anchorage School District. Is is a support for parents and teachers and has a large library on special education; the web-site has information about Special Education in the Anchorage School District and links to information about the law and other disability related topics; and a calendar of events and support groups. See the "Calendar of Events" for groups and trainings. Most are free to the public.

Youth (leadership) development information

The National Youth Development Information Center, NYDUCm is a project of the The National Assembly through its affinity group, the National Collaboration for Youth. NYDIC provides practice-related information about youth development to national and local youth-serving organizations at low cost or no cost.
