Alaska's Network of Care

Alaska's Network of Care

Alaska's Network of Care was created by the Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC), in cooperation with the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority. The project is part of a broad effort by the SILC to improve and better coordinate long-term care services for Alaskan seniors and persons experiencing disabilities.

The Anchorage Youth Development Coalition

The Anchorage Youth Development Coalition provides leadership and coordinates resources and efforts to ensure that all Anchorage youth thrive. AYDC works to increase protective factors and reduce substance abuse and other risk factors through the Developmental Assets Framework, and other research based prevention strategies.

All Pro Dad

Want to participate in fun father/child activities while strengthening your relationship? Come on out to an All Pro Dad event and meet some other dads and kids to play with. We’ll watch some really cool videos and play some really fun, interactive games. In the summer time we go camping and fishing, and in the winter time we’ll go skiing and snowboarding. We meet at the Boys & Girls Club in Mountain View at 5:30 on the third Thursday of every month. One lucky father & kid will win a great NFL prize! See you there.

Educational Opportunity Center

In Anchorage or Mat-Su, the organization provides information and assistance for adults (ages 18 and older) to enroll in postsecondary education or traning programs: computer classes, tutorial information, information about entrance requirements and process, application assistance to schools or training beyond high school, assistance in finding scholarships and loans, career exploration and job market information. For high school students thee are two additional programs: Educational Talent Search and Upward Bound to assist students in preparing for college.

Nine Star programs focus on literacy, job readiness and professional development. These programs equip clients with the skills necessary to find a job, keep a job and advance on the job.
